Why Clean Your Carpet

Did you know that in one year 40 pounds of dust is tracked or blown into the average home, carrying 1.6 billion germs?  And for starters, did you also know that you get over 41 known carcinogens, pollen, spores, fungus, bacteria and pollution all in one place in your home namely your carpet?

It may look clean, but your carpet can be a toxic jungle.  Why risk the health of you and your family with the appearance of your carpet!  Here are 3 very good reasons why you might want to consider cleaning your carpet:

1    Your Health- Did you know that ailments such as heaaches, stuffy nose, muscle pains, dizziness, rashes, nose bleeds, fevers, chills, anorexia, shortness of breath, hearing loss, itchy eyes, fatigue and asthma are all symptoms of indoor air contamination.  One EPA study showed that the air in our homes is 4-10 times more TOXIC than outdoor air.

2  To Protect Your Investment- Most of the stuff that fills up your vacuum cleaner is bits of carpet fiber.  These fibers are ground off by the sandy soils that get lodged at the base of the carpet.  Go to a high use part of the carpet, spread the yarns apart and look at the carpet backing.  You will see dand down there, grinding your expensive carpet into fiber. 

3  To Prevent Embarrassment- When guests enter your home, 60% of their first impression is based on the appearance of your carpet.  When suprise guests stop by we are embarrassed by the appearance of our home if it is less than perfect. Spots and even odors we don't notice ourselves make a bad impression.
